Our Leadership
Elders
Jesus Christ as the Head of the Church mediates His rule over the Church by calling and appointing elders (pastors) to shepherd, oversee, and lead the church. These elders are directly responsible to Jesus Christ for the governing of the church according to His Word. Based on the New Testament model of a multiplicity of elders for the local church body†, Grace Family Church currently has three elders in its service to shepherd the flock.
Rick Griffin - He and his wife Debbie have been married for nearly 20 years. They have 5 wonderful children; Allison, Luke, Katlyn, Nicholas, and Seth. Rick is a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served previously as a church planter, pastor, chaplain at a Christian school, and both a public school and a private Christian school teacher. Rick's passion is to see reformation and revival in the church. He believes that a return to the biblical model of the family is critical for that to occur in our generation.
Scott Head - He and his wife Angie have been married for nearly 18 years. They have 3 wonderful children; Caleb, Callie, and Samuel. Scott is a graduate of the Universitiy of Houston and is currently serving as a Creative Director for Schlumberger in Houston. Scott's passion is to bring himself and his family into complete obedience to the full counsel of God's word, careful not to leave out the difficult sections. He constantly evaluates and is never afraid to ask the tough questions of himself or his peers.
Kris Lee - He and his wife Jessica have been married for 9 years and are parents to 5 wonderful children. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and currently works for NASA at Johnson Space Center. Kris's passion is to train up a generation of men and women who love God with all their heart, soul, and might. He desires for men to embrace their Biblcal calling to lead their families and recapture the hearts of their children.
Deacons
Deacons are recommended by the church and approved by the elders to assist the elders in the practical ministry of service to the church. Currently, Grace Family Church has three deacons with more to be selected as the need arises.
Mark Mooney serves the Lord by serving the members of Grace Family Church as our deacon. He has a servant's heart and an enthusiasm for building relationships. He and his family share a passion for global missions. It is Mark's desire to reach the heart of Fathers with the Gospel in order to reach their entire family for Christ. Mark also longs to see Fathers reclaim their Biblical role as the leader of the family. Mark and his wife, Laura, have been married nearly 18 years and enjoy three delightful children. It brings Mark great joy for his wife and each of his three children to worship together with him on Sunday mornings.
